Well here goes - my very first blog. My name is Catherine and I'm starting this blog to write about my crafting experiences. I had an accident last year that has left me with very limited use in my right arm. This has presented me with a lot of challenges as I am righthanded. I've had to learn new ways of doing things to get the result I want but I think I'm getting there.
I'm 61 years old. Divorced. I have one son, a granddaughter and a grandson plus a one year old great granddaughter.
I'm thinking about trying to sell some of my cards and other craft items. It will have to be online as I couldn't manage craft fairs etc. I'm looking at Etsy and EBay as possibilities. If anyone has any experience of selling craft items through these channels, or has any other ideas, I'd love to hear from you.
At the moment though I'm busy with a very special personal project. My father has his 90th birthday coming up on 8th October and the family party is to be on the 18th. He's amazing and still manages to go ballroom dancing with my stepmother 2 or 3 times a week. I'm making a standard card to pop in the post so he gets it on his birthday and then I plan to make a sort of book card to give him at the party. I just have to work out the best way to make the book. I've seen them before but can never see how the pages have been secured in so that they can be turned easily. I'll let you know how I get on with that one.
Well that's enough from me for this first one. I hope I haven't bored you (if there's anyone there that is lol).
